Beyond Brexit: Rethinking the Future of EU–UK Relations

As geopolitical and economic realities evolve, the EU and the UK face an increasingly urgent question: how can they work together to strengthen their shared security, competitiveness, and prosperity?

Drawing on a new policy brief developed by the IE Global Policy Center in collaboration with Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, this masterclass will explore practical pathways towards a more strategic and mutually beneficial relationship. From security and defence to technology, innovation, and industrial cooperation, Dr. Ilke Toygür will examine how both sides can build a stronger partnership in an increasingly uncertain global landscape.Ten years after Brexit, this timely session offers a forward-looking perspective on the UK’s role in Europe and the opportunities to shape a more resilient future together.
