Careers Talk for Parents

Join the IE Brazil Team for an exclusive event designed for parents of current IE University students, focused on one of the most important aspects of the student journey: career development.

This session will provide valuable insights and practical guidance on how families can support their children as they navigate career decisions and prepare for the global job market.

Our guest speaker will be Norton Lara, father of a recent IE graduate and an executive with an extensive career at companies including IBM and Spencer Stuart. Today, he is a Partner at Vila Nova Partners, a leading executive search firm specializing in leadership positions.

After visiting IE's campuses in Segovia and Madrid, engaging with the IE Talent & Careers team, and leading a career workshop for Brazilian students, Norton will share his perspective on the university's career ecosystem and the opportunities available to IE students.

Drawing inspiration from the Parent's Guide to the Career Playbook, written by James M. Citrin, Leader of the Global CEO Practice at Spencer Stuart, Norton will also discuss how parents and guardians can play a meaningful role in supporting their children's professional growth while empowering them to build successful and independent careers.

Join us for an engaging conversation and discover how families can become valuable partners throughout their children's career journey.
