As far back as 2011, Gartner predicted customers would manage 85 percent of their business relationships free of human interaction by the year 2020. This seminar is the path to make Gartner's theory a reality. Conversational commerce is an approach that puts conversations between brands and their customers at the heart of the User Experience. By utilizing chat, messaging, or other natural language interfaces (i.e. voice) to interact with people, brands and services have an incredibly potent channel to imprint branding and sell directly to consumers. The net result is that you and I will be talking to brands and companies over platforms like Facebook Messenger, Alexa, Telegram, Slack, and Google Assistant... While messaging and voice interfaces are central components, they fit into a larger picture of increasing infusion of AI technology into our daily lives, which in turn is unlocking new potential for brand-to-consumer interaction.
