During this session we will analyze the Sustainable Development Goals as a framework for an organization’s strategic planning, we will identify the relevant indicators that impact and are impacted by international trade and we will identify the international organizations that constitute the regulatory ecosystem of international trade.

Pedro Guazo is the Finance Director at the United Nations in New York. He manages a portfolio of more than USD$10 billion and leads the organization’s finance operations in practically every country in the world. Prior to joining the United Nations in 2012, he served in a similar capacity for more than two years as the Director of Finance and Treasury at the United Nations World Food Programme, supervising finance officials in more than 75 Country Offices. During a 15-year banking career, he contributed to the modernization of the Mexican Financial System, while serving as a development banker, regulator and supervisor. Pedro Guazo received an International Executive MBA from IE Business School in Madrid. He also earned a Master's degree in Business Economics from ITESM and graduated from ITAM in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
