Private and Public Sector Consulting Careers for Global and Public Affairs Graduates

The Master Class will give students an inside look at some of IE School of Global and Public Affair’s most successful professional graduates. Ms. Jessica Harmer and Mr. KC Anderson will speak with candidates about their current positions and how their studies at IE helped them achieve their career goals.

Jessica Harmer is a Senior Account Manager at AccountAbility in London, England. Jessica focuses primarily on corporate strategy development, stakeholder engagement regulation and management, ESG reporting and impact investing. Jessica works on the design and implementation of corporate responsibility and sustainability strategies, including strategy design, objective setting & road map development, risk assessment, and performance metrics. Jessica manages all of AccountAbility’s European energy, power, and utilities clients.

Prior to joining AccountAbility, Jessica spent over five years with IBM’s consulting practice, most recently as a Senior Managing Consultant. There, she worked with IBM’s corporate clients, including Tiffany & Co., Hasbro, BNSF and others, to implement new technologies, processes, systems and strategies for business performance improvement. Her prior roles include work with impact investment funds and international non-profit as a Consultant, Project Manager and Programme Coordinator.

Jessica holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of International Relations from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs with a concentration in Asian Studies and a minor in Chinese from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University in Washington, DC.

KC Anderson is a Senior Consultant at Deloitte and a Major in the US Army Reserves. At Deloitte, KC focuses on Operations Transformation for Deloitte’s Government and Public Services Practice. As a government and public services consultant, he operates at the center of government clients’ business by helping c-suite and program leaders transform their organizations and accelerate mission execution through emerging and disruptive technologies, innovative business models, retooled program operations, and industry-driven solutions. Currently, KC is leading an operations redesign for Deloitte’s military clients to support modernization and process improvement.

As an Army Reserve Officer, he supports the execution and validation of realistic Combat Support Collective Training, Leader Development, and Mission Command to prepare Soldiers and units for combat operations.

Before joining Deloitte, KC was an active duty US Army HR Officer with 9+ years of strategic planning, management, and policy development experience. He worked in recruiting and training exercises in the United States, the Middle East, and Europe. As a senior HR manager, he advised C-suite leadership, managed diverse teams in ambiguous and often dangerous environments, and coordinated large-scale projects involving thousands of employees.

KC holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of International Relations from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, USA.
