AI Ethics Competition

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to participate in the AI Ethics Competition coordinated by Dr. Theodore “Ted” Lechterman, who holds the UNESCO Chair in AI Ethics & Governance at IE University.

The ethics challenges posed by artificial intelligence are becoming more important every day, as new technologies and applications advance faster than researchers, citizens, and governments can fully understand or regulate them. This raises critical questions: What values should AI follow, and who gets to decide? How can we ensure AI benefits everyone fairly? Should certain AI developments be encouraged or restricted? And what responsibilities do companies and organizations have when they create and control AI? As AI continues to shape our world, these questions demand our attention now more than ever.

In this competition, you are the Chief Ethics Officer at InnovAI Solutions, a company that produces AI-powered devices and services. Your mission is to ensure that InnovAI's products and operations are ethically responsible. InnovAI is developing a new product. You must produce a two-page ethical impact analysis that describes the product, forecasts its ethical risks, and outlines a strategy for how InnovAI will manage them. Additionally, you must produce a five-minute maximun video summarizing this analysis for InnovAI's Board of Directors.
