Rethinking Cities, from Sustainability to Livability

Seventy percent of the world’s population will live in cities by 2050. Cities will no longer be developed around natural resources such as rivers or mines but around another natural resource: knowledge.

Knowledge will come from universities and other institutions, but what is their role in creating sustainable, inclusive, and livable cities? How can institutions help cities solve increasingly complex and challenging problems?

IE Insights, the knowledge hub for IE University, and the IE Office in London invite you to join Martha Thorne, distinguished professor and Senior Advisor to the Obel Foundation, for a screening of Rethinking Cities - a short documentary exploring the future of architecture and sustainability in cities.

Afterwards, please join us for a Q&A and a networking cocktail.
