Europe, Projects and Future
Why and how projects will shape the future of Europe (and elsewhere)
We invite you to join this session where we will learn first-hand from European institutions and Project Management experts, about the outlook and impact of the projects on the private sector and the view of EU Institutions.
Projects have displaced operations as the economic engine of our times. Thirty years ago 80% of the resources in an organization were dedicated to operations, and 20% to projects; today, that ratio has flipped.
By 2027, some 88 million people around the world are likely to be working in project management, and the value of project-oriented economic activity will have reached $20 Trillion.
The public sector is no exception to this paradigm shift. Projects are used as a tool to achieve common objectives and deal with societal challenges.
In the case of the EU, 2021-2027 budget exceeds €2,000 billion. A great share of this budget will be used to fund projects and initiatives that fulfil the objectives of the EU, including the Resilience and Recovery Facility (€723 billion) EU’s unprecedented response to help repair the economic and social damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic and aid the transition towards a modern and more sustainable Europe.
The Project Economy has arrived. For everyone. Join the conversation.
