AI for Africa’s Future: Innovation, Jobs and Transformation Across Key Sectors

As Africa enters a pivotal technological era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as a transformative force capable of driving inclusive growth, job creation, and sectoral innovation. In this interactive MasterclassProf. Beatrice Grace Obado will explore how AI is reshaping key sectors such as education, agriculture, healthcare, finance, and mining, while addressing the urgent question:

How can Africa harness AI to create jobs, empower communities, and shape a future that is truly African-led and equitable?

Participants will gain insight into how AI can help tackle the continent’s pressing challenges from inequality and youth unemployment to skills development and public service delivery and how technological transformation can support Africa’s sustainable development goals.

This session also offers a unique opportunity to experience IE University’s world-class teaching methodology, rooted in interactive learning, critical thinking, and global engagement. Attendees will learn more about IE’s Master’s programs, its international and interdisciplinary approach, and how the university prepares future leaders to address complex global challenges through innovation and collaboration.
