About Prof. Guillermo de Haro
Prof. Guillermo de Haro is the Vice Dean of External Relations at IE School of Science and Technology. He combines extensive academic leadership experience with a multidisciplinary career spanning technology, business, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
A telecommunications engineer, he holds an MBA Cum Laude from IE Business School and two doctoral degrees, in engineering and applied economics. Throughout his academic career, he has held leadership positions at several institutions, including Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
His professional experience encompasses software development, technology and e-business consulting, retail, and the entertainment industry, with roles at organizations including Socintec, Workcenter, and Technicolor. He also collaborated with Google on the development of Google Actívate, an initiative designed to strengthen digital skills and improve employability among young professionals in Spain.
An accomplished educator, author, and speaker, Prof. de Haro has published books, articles, and case studies on technology, economics, strategy, and entrepreneurship. His ability to connect academic knowledge with practical business experience has earned him multiple teaching excellence awards.
