Social Entrepreneurship: How Can We Help the Most Vulnerable Groups in Society to be Part of the World Economy?

Despite global attempts to eradicate poverty, over 4 billion people still lack access to basic resources and services, such as potable water, basic health services, and primary and secondary education. Until these services are more evenly distributed, our world will always be plagued by injustice and inequality. The global community must thus work harder to address the needs at the Base of the Pyramid, the poorest segment of the world’s population, often excluded by markets, banks and multinationals.

This session will discuss and explore how social entrepreneurs find innovative solutions for the world’s 4 billion most underprivileged and vulnerable people.
