Peter Bryant is a professor of entrepreneurial management at IE Business School from 2009. Before commencing his academic career, Peter held a range of management roles in Australia, working in the airline, banking, consulting and venture capital industries. He also worked with many entrepreneurs in helping to create and grow their companies, including successful VC deals and IPOs. Now he enjoys the exciting challenge of research and teaching in the field of entrepreneurship.
Many entrepreneurial ventures and innovations emerge from novel technology. But the process of commercialization is complex and challenging. Product-market fit may be hard to achieve. Inventors and investors often have different perceptions of risk and reward. It can be difficult to align motivations and priorities. These are the issues to be explored in this master class. Through an interactive case study, you will learn about and discuss the challenges of innovation and entrepreneurship, and how to anticipate common problems which arise in these endeavors.
