AI Ethics Challenge: IE School of Humanities & Dipont Education

PROFILE: High school students starting university in 2026-2028. Applicants participate as teams of three.

In this live virtual session, you’ll meet Professor Lechterman, holder of the UNESCO Chair in AI Ethics & Governance at IE School of Humanities. Prof. Lechterman will explain the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence and guidelines and tools for managing these challenges. He will also explain the assignment to be able to compete for an exclusive scholarship to attend IE University!

In this challenge, you are the Chief Ethics Officer at InnovAI Solutions, a company that produces AI-powered devices and services. Your mission is to ensure that InnovAI's products and operations are ethically responsible. InnovAI is developing a new product. You must produce a two-page ethical impact analysis that describes the product, forecasts its ethical risks (and ethical benefits), and outlines a strategy for how InnovAI will manage these trade-offs successfully. The top 10 submissions will proceed to a live final presentation in March 2025.

Join us for this exciting Challenge and take the opportunity to compete for an exclusive award to attend IE University!
