Elevators are moments of pause. Seconds of silence, routine, and waiting. What if those seconds became meaningful, immersive, or unforgettable?

The MDXR – Master in Design for Immersive Experiences and XR invites its admitted candidates to challenge one of the most overlooked everyday spaces.

The Challenge: RETHINK THE ELEVATOR Redesign the elevator experience to transform waiting time into something engaging, emotional, intelligent, or unexpected.

You may approach the challenge through one (or a combination) of the following lenses:

Hybrid Design
Sensors, spatial interaction, responsive environments, physical + digital layers.

Narrative Design
A story that unfolds during the ride—visual, sonic, emotional, or interactive.

Future Design
A completely new vision of vertical movement and immersive mobility.

Who Can Participate? This competition is exclusively open to candidates admitted or in the process to be admited  to the Master in Design for Immersive Experiences and XR (MDXR).

Admission to the program is a mandatory requirement to participate.Submission Format Your idea, your format.

Submissions may include:Images or illustrationsStoryboards or moodboardsConcept videosInteractive or immersive media, Focus on experience, concept, and design thinking rather than technical execution
