How to build a Learning Organization
What organizations need to do to develop a workforce for the future and become truly learning organizations
During the digital age, organizations around the world are experiencing sweeping, rapid changes which are fueled by advancements in technologies including: robotization, automation, the internet of things, machine learning, the mobile internet, and cloud computing, among others. Successful companies are fast adaptors of these new technologies which are disrupting existing skillsets. According to the McKinsey Global Institute, between 400 million and 800 million individuals globally could be displaced by automation and need to find new jobs by 2030. Because of this, the need for employees to upskill and retrain themselves will likely be the biggest challenge of the coming decade. And with the World Economic Forum predicting that the human share of labor hours will drop from 71% to 48% by just 2025. It is estimated that by 2020, more than a third of the desired core occupational skillsets will be comprised of skills that are not yet deemed crucial for the job today. Increasingly, there is a huge need for organizations to build people capabilities at the speed of business.
During this webinar, Dr. Nick van Dam will discuss what organizations need to do to develop a workforce for the future and become truly learning organizations. All of this starts with 'learning readiness' of individuals who embrace a lifelong learning mindset.
