IE Experience Day: Masterclass Evening with Professor Gregorio Bustos

Join us for a masterclass evening by IE University | IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs' Professor Gregorio Bustos on 'The role of Global Value Chains in a world of trade disruptions' in Singapore!

Global Value Chains (GVCs) represent around 70% of global trade and are perfectly synchronized to overcome major trade disruptions that nation-states may impose (tariffs, other trade restrictions). GVCs have transformed the economic and political interdependency, becoming a major transformational instrument to interconnect and modernize the world economy.  Countries that isolate themselves from world-trade and refuse to become part of the efficiency created through GVCs would find themselves losing competitiveness and facing major economic and social challenges.

Professor Gregorio Bustos, an expert in international finance, public policy, and economic development, has served as CFO of Mercedes-Benz Services and has over 20 years of leadership experience in multinational firms, managing financial and strategic operations across Europe and Asia.
