12.15 – 13.30  Master Class by Christina Stathopoulos, Adjunct Professor on Advanced Analytics and Big Data : Harnessing the power of Big Data

Over the last decade, we have accumulated unprecedented amounts of data from all corners of the world. Both public and private sectors have entered a digital revolution; some are using this to their advantage while others do not know how to adapt accordingly. In this talk, we will explore the world of Big Data, understanding the meaning behind this buzz word and why it has become so important. We will touch on how it is being used in business today and why businesses are struggling to adopt new analytical ways. Finally, we will cover some related, prominent technology topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Academic Director and Adjunct Professor at IE Business School

Christina Stathopoulos is a thought leader in the data world, participating regularly as an international speaker and educator in the field. She has developed an advanced analytics career in tech. Most recently, after more than 5 years at Google and Waze where she led analytical studies and strategy in partnership with some of their largest advertisers, she branched off on her own as a data evangelist to launch her own data firm.
