Master Class Description
Decades of political science research confirms that our media consumption does influence how we think about politics and elections. Yet we also know that it is very difficult to change people's minds. In this masterclass, we will explore the effects that current trends such as polarization and polarized media consumption, misinformation, disinformation and foreign interference might have on the US presidential election this coming November.
Professor Biography
Alana Moceri is an international relations professor at IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs, a featured analyst at World Politics Review, columnist at El Español, and a TV & radio commentator. She teaches and writes about public diplomacy, global governance, electoral campaigns, public opinion, and grassroots and transnational activism with a focus on the U.S., the EU, and Spain.
