Spatial Intelligence: Bridging Human Cognition and AI in the 3D World

Professor Veldman's master class delves into the realm of spatial intelligence, emphasising its role in merging human cognitive abilities with artificial intelligence to navigate and interpret our three-dimensional environment. We will explore how spatial intelligence enables the perception, generation, and interaction with the 3D world, facilitating the creation of mental images that can be transformed into tangible realities.

Drawing insights from experts like Fei-Fei Li, we will examine the development of Large World Models (LWMs) and their applications across various sectors, including autonomous systems, healthcare, education, and urban planning. The session will also address the philosophical aspects of spatial intelligence, offering a comprehensive understanding of its impact on innovation and the synergy between human cognition and AI.

By the end of this master class, participants will have a nuanced appreciation of how spatial intelligence is reshaping our interaction with the world and driving advancements in technology and human creativity.
