“Sustainability: a tale of 100-million inhabitant countries and 2 companies”

Often, the pervasive idea of acting locally on sustainability grounds has ended up being detrimental in at least one sense: it conveys the misleading idea that challenges are local (and sometimes at small scale). However, there is widespread evidence that sustainability concerns are mostly global (albeit with local outcomes).

On behalf of IE Executive Education and as part of the activities of the Sustainability: Your Competitive Advantage Executive Program , we would like to invite you to a session in which we will study the importance of these challenges by reviewing them in terms of long-term water-energy-food-climate security in countries with more than 100 inhabitants. In parallel, examples from two transnational corporations will also be assessed.

We will also count on the testimony of Trevor Johnson, Product and External Services Consultant at Interamerican Development Bank and alumnus of the Sustainability: Your Competitive  Advantage Program. Trevor will let us know about his experience and will give us a hint of what to expect in this Program.
