About the speaker:
Professor Alexander Van de Putte is an accomplished academic and board leader with significant influence in corporate governance, strategy, and strategic foresight. He is the Executive Chairman of the Sustainable Foresight Institute and of Corporate Governance 4.0. Additionally, he is a Visiting Professor of Strategy and Strategic Foresight at IE Business School.
Throughout his career, Alexander has held senior roles with prestigious organizations, including the US National Intelligence Council, the World Economic Forum, Shell International, PwC, and McKinsey & Company.
Alexander is trained as an economist and engineer, holds a PhD in Management from the University of London, a Doctorate in International Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy, and a PhD in Engineering at Cambridge University.
His career is marked by a blend of academic excellence and hands-on leadership in global strategy, portfolio management, and governance, making him a respected figure in both academic and corporate circles.

Alexander Van de Putte is Chairman of Corporate Governance & Stewardship, and Chief Strategy Officer of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), professor of strategy and strategic foresight at IE Business School, and the founding director and chairman of the Sustainable Foresight Institute and of Corporate Governance 4.0. At the AIFC, he recently oversaw the development of the AIFC Corporate Governance Principles and its Guidance.

Dr. Ilke Toygür is the Director of IE Global Policy Center, and Professor of Geopolitics of Europe at the School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs. She is also a Senior Associate at the CSIS Europe, Russia and Eurasia Program and Mercator Fellow.
Her main areas of expertise include European integration, EU institutions, elections and democracy in Western Europe, geopolitics of Europe, transatlantic relations, and Turkey’s relations with the West.
