Our Professor and Chair of the Department of Finance at IE University Pedro Gete will teach about "The Economics of climate Change".
This session will overview the challenges that climate risk implies for the economy and asset markets. We will discuss the transmission channels through which climate shocks can trigger an economic crisis or a recession. We will distinguish physical risks from transition risks. We will discuss topics as climate runs or climate gentrification. Finally, we will have a glimpse of recent research developments in these topics.
Our speakers

Professor at IE University and Business School (Finance Dpt.)
Professor. Gete’s research focuses on financial markets with applications to topics including real estate, finance, international economics, and macroeconomics. Moreover, he has both developed new models and conducted empirical work.
Prof. Gete has taught at the Chicago-Booth Business School, Georgetown University, IE Business School, and at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid
