What is Behavioral Science and Why is it Important

Behavioral science gives us a window into the human mind, illuminating why we make the decisions that we make and helping companies find the optimal way to influence consumer behavior. So join us and learn more about behavioral science and how can it turn you into your most influential self!  

Dr Jessica Tollette  

Dr. Jessica Tollette is the academic director of the Bachelor in Behavior and Social Sciences at IE University. In addition to her role as academic director, she also teaches courses on behavioral science, research methods, and communication skills. 

Upon receiving her bachelor’s degree, Jessica worked as a management consultant at Monitor Group in New York where she specialized in marketing consulting and diversity recruitment. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology at Harvard University and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Hispanic Studies. When she is not in the classroom, Dr. Tollette enjoys live music, a tough workout, travel, podcasts, practicing mindfulness and spending time with her family in California.

She has experience teaching courses on research methods, gender and education. She has also worked extensively in the realm of diversity and inclusion and pre-career and academic advising. She worked as a management consultant at Monitor Group. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology at Harvard University and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Communication.
