Why are there so few women in Finance?
Now that is a question!
Let's face it-women have been and still continue to be under-represented in the financial industry.
A study by HBS shows that among senior roles in venture capital and private equity, women held just 9% and 6% of those positions, respectively.
While we are closer than ever to reaching gender equality in other sectors such as law, international affairs, medicine and academia, finance has been lagging behind.
But why is that?
Is it because most women choose to study something else or they are hesitant about the career opportunities afterwards where there aren't that many high-level female role models to follow?
And why is getting more female representation in the sector so important for all?
Join us in an online panel where we will tackle all of these questions and listen to the personal experiences of our female Alumni working in the sector.
IE's Director of Career Education and Professor Irina Zilbergleyt will be moderating a lively debate where we will try to cover the obstacles and challenges that lie ahead and share some ideas and tips that have worked for our Alumni.
We hope you can join us!
