In this Masterclass, we will explore some of Fintech major trends globally, from three main points of view: technology, “smart” investment, and career opportunities.
As the finance sector becomes increasingly data driven, new and often revolutionary business models are appearing. Facilitated by evolving new technologies such as cybersecurity, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, the cloud and mobile networks, the traditionally high barriers to entry that have characterized the finance industry have fallen dramatically, leading to never before seen opportunities.
Billions of dollars in venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) are being poured into startups worldwide, creating tens of thousands of new jobs. Simultaneously, incumbents are downsizing while trying to develop new capabilities through acquisitions and alliances, and by developing and supporting accelerators and incubators, in a thriving, rich and complex business ecosystem.
This Masterclass, will explore the drivers that are enabling this wave of disruption as well as explore some major global Fintech trends, while noting the many risks and opportunities that this revolution presents through case studies
