Agenda

12.00 – 12.15 Welcome word & IE University presentation by Victoria Susakova, International Development for Eastern Europe & Central Asia team

12.15- 13.15 Master Class Latest developments in Fintech by Terence Tse, co-founder and Executive Director of Nexus FrontierTech.

Financial technology, or Fintech, has been reforming the financial services around the world. The rapid change does not only impact the landscape of the industry, but also showcases how technologies are reinventing businesses. In this talk, we will examine how technologies help address painpoints in the financial services, what new business opportunities have emerged for both incumbents and challengers and why the "fin" in fintech is still more important than "tech". It is aimed at those who are interested in the subject of fintech as well as seeing how technologies have been deployed to reinvent/enhance products and services.

13.15 - 13.30 Break

13.30- 14.30 Master Class  Governance of Technology  by Mark Esposito,  Professor of  IE Business School

Over the next ten years, we will see more change in the world than we have seen in the last 250 years. The speed of the evolution of technology and the incredible change in humans and their values will affect our lives and the way we do business for years to come. AI aims to change the way society functions, operates and interacts on every level. The increasing role of technology requires fresh thinking on how governance of the same will be determined and how we will be able to determine the relationship between humans and machines. Extracted from the bestseller, The AI Republic, co-authored with Terence Tse and Danny Goh, as well as from a last report from the World Economic Forum, where some of the opportunities to rewrite the rules are presented, discussed and debated.
