The Pros and Cons of Coworking in the Digital Economy: Is it For You?

Those working in the creative field, such as freelancers or tech entrepreneurs, have been seen to take a growing interest in coworking spaces that have been emerging in cities across the world. But what exactly is coworking and how did the concept come about?

Everyone seems to be talking about it, but what problems do coworking spaces address and what is the added value compared to other workplaces? We will be discussing all ideas with our professors and attendees.

Our speakers

Academic Director of the IE Master in Visual and Digital Media

PhD in Communication and is the Academic Director of the IE Master in Visual and Digital Media at IE’s School of Human Sciences and Technology. His research and teaching focus on the intersections between creative industries and social movements.

She teaches students of IE’s Master in Strategic Design of Spaces on human centered design and research,

She is an architectural designer, researcher and current PhD candidate at the Royal College of Art in London, exploring the effects of coworking on workplace design and practice. She teaches students of IE’s Master in Strategic Design of Spaces on human centered design and research, from IE’s School of Architecture and Design.
