The Future is Human: Designing Spaces as Experience Journeys
Anna Sundukova will illustrate how spatial designers can create spaces as not as places but multifaceted experience journeys
The digital world has championed a way to create products guided by deciphering human needs and desires. Understanding the user in depth has paved the road to success for many startups. Meanwhile the creation of physical spaces, the container for life itself, remains largely dominated by focus on function and pursuit of physical form, not the holistic human experience. We will explore how spatial designers and developers can use UX tools and processes to create spaces as multifaceted experience journeys that better serve the people using them.
About Anna Sundukova:
Anna Sundukova is an experience designer, product strategist, design thinking consultant and facilitator, who works on creating spatial experience ecosystems centered around human needs, wishes and desires. Her work tends to navigate between physical, digital and service aspects of a space with the aim of bringing all the elements together in one experience journey. Having started her training in architecture at the Glasgow School of Art, she took a turn to work in interior design but quickly realized there is something missing in the way the industry is approaching the creation of spaces. She went on to study Digital Experience Design at Hyper Island where she developed a new perspective on designing products and services for people. Borrowing generously from the best of UX design practices, she has focused for the last couple of years on helping companies create spaces as user-centered products. This led her to work on a few new generation hospitality concepts in Berlin, where she currently lives and works.
