If you were asked to name successful companies, you would probably think about companies like Google, Amazon, Alibaba, Uber, Apple, Microsoft, or Netflix. The CEOs behind these companies have something in common: they are shapers and transformational leaders. Do you know your leadership style? And, the skills for the digital age?

Join us for this special Masterclass with Jose Esteves our Associate Dean for MBA, TECHMBA Programs and Professor of Information Systems.  At this master class, we will be taking a closer look at the challenges facing leaders today, assess your leadership style, and our Associate Dean will share some ingredients for a successful Digital leadership recipe.

ABOUT OUR SPECIAL GUEST

JOSE ESTEVES, Associate Dean for MBA and TECHMBA Programs Professor Information Systems

Associate dean for full-time MBA programs (IMBA and TECH MBA) and professor of Information Systems at IE business school. His passion for Information Systems (IS) is founded not only in the technology itself but also in the human side of these systems. Focusing on areas such as IS/ ERP implementation, smart cities, big data, Digital innovation, strategy, digital Leadership, Cybersecurity and Gamification.

He believes it is the way people interact with digital technologies that will determine the success or failure of its adoption and implementation. His wealth of experience in the corporate world underpins this belief. So, it’s all about human behavior - individual, organizational and social - and we should analyze IT/IS at these three levels. On his Last Book “Value in a digital world” (Palgrave) provides an in-depth examination of the concept of value in a digital world, and an analysis of a range of digital business models and a framework for assessing the value of digital businesses.

In addition to his research and teaching, he continues to act as a consultant to a number of companies and coaching CIOs and CXOs - something he believes makes an important contribution to his academic activities. Consulting provides fieldwork, data and results because, without examples, it’s all just theory. So it’s a cycle - consulting, research and then applying it in the classes.
