Virtual Master Class: When Rates Move: The Real Implications of Central Banks Adjusting Interest Rates - Canada

Central banks such as the Federal Reserve, European Central Bank, and the Bank of England are critical to the financial functioning of their respective jurisdictions. As stewards of monetary policy, central banks set benchmark rates or “overnight rates” that aim to provide pricing stability while also allowing for economic growth.

Join Matt Buchholz, Managing Director at Citrus Capital Partners and IE Business School Master in Finance Alumnus, for an interactive Master Class where he will explore topics related to rate setting, including:

1) A brief history of active monetary policy in Western economies

2) When rates are adjusted, who are the affected parties and what are the implications?

3) What happens when monetary policy goes wrong?!
