From Wall Street to Purpose: Meet Yekta´s Story

Yekta's professional journey showcases intentional career evolution driven by curiosity, foresight, and strategic decision-making.  

With over a decade of experience on Wall Street, Yekta held significant roles in North American capital markets, focusing on fixed income trading, macroeconomic strategy, and portfolio management. Despite already being a CFA Charterholder and enjoying a successful finance career, Yekta recognized the rapidly growing influence of financial technology (Fintech) on global business. Understanding the importance of staying at the forefront of industry changes, he deliberately chose to further his education through IE Business School's Master's in Finance—the only European program offering a dedicated major in Fintech.

 After completing the Master's program, Yekta led institutional business and growth at STOKR, Europe's first Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) for digital securities, effectively bridging traditional finance and decentralized finance through structuring, securitizing and tokenizing digital securities. Today, as Vice President at Dubai Financial Market (DFM), he helps lead product and strategy for Dubai's financial securities exchange, helping pioneer innovation across private markets, derivatives and exploring digital assets use cases.
