Global Economic Trends: Past, Present, & Future

In this masterclass session, renowned Economics Professor and Vice President of the IE Foundation Gonzalo Garland will provide a historical overview of the world economy and the increased importance of emerging countries that will help understand the current global situation and identify some of the most important trends that humanity is and will be facing in the next decades. He will also present other geopolitical, demographic, environmental, and technological challenges that lie ahead.  

Professor Garland will conclude the session with some of his thoughts on how these trends will play out in the short, medium, and long term.
