IE Master's Summer Lab: Building Your Business In A Day

Professor Arseniy Goldberg is back in Austin, TX to lead an immersive, hands-on workshop designed to mirror the IE classroom experience. This is not your typical masterclass; there are no long lectures or passive listening. Instead, you’ll spend a half day actively working through real challenges, collaborating with peers, and using AI tools to build and test ideas in real time.

Throughout the session, you’ll move quickly from problem framing to prototyping and shaping a business case, all while receiving guidance from IE faculty. Whether you’re exploring a new idea or looking to apply these tools to your own business or project, you’ll walk away with practical experience, new ways of thinking, and a clear sense of how IE approaches learning by doing.

10:05AM-10:50AM Session 1: Problem Discovery and Framing
Most teams waste time solving the wrong problem. Students will learn how top founders and consultants identify what actually matters and apply those frameworks in real time.

11:00AM-11:45AM Session 2: Ideation of Solutions and GenAI Prototyping
Using generative AI tools, students will go from rough ideas to working prototypes in under 90 minutes. This session emphasizes creativity, speed, experimentation, and modern problem-solving.

12:15PM-1:00PM Session 3: Conviction, Rhetoric, and Persuasion
Students will learn how to structure a compelling argument, communicate ideas clearly, answer difficult questions, and present with confidence.

1:15PM-2:15PM Session 4: Final Presentations
Teams will present their solutions to IE faculty and industry guests, defend their thinking, and receive live feedback in a collaborative and supportive environment.
