Join IE University for an exclusive masterclass exploring how the weakening of multilateralism and the post–World War II rules-based order is reshaping global stability. As competition among major powers intensifies and economic interdependence becomes a tool of leverage, geopolitical shocks are increasingly cascading across financial, energy, and technological systems. This session will provide participants with a clear, practical understanding of regional dynamics and interconnected risks in today’s fragmented and volatile global landscape.

The masterclass will be led by Waya Quiviger, Professor of Practice of Global Governance and International Development at IE School of Global and Public Affairs and Academic Director of the IE Global Policy Center’s Executive Education program on Geopolitics and Global Risks. She also leads the Transatlantic Bridge Conference in collaboration with Johns Hopkins SAIS, Sciences Po, and Yale.

Waya brings extensive experience from her work at the World Economic Forum and a strong academic background with degrees from the London School of Economics, HEC Paris, and McGill University. At IE, she teaches Global Governance, Development Economics, and Social Entrepreneurship, and is a frequent commentator on international politics for outlets such as France 24 and BBC Mundo.
