The Regulation of AI: Challenges and Prospects

The use of AI applications and their abilities might have an unparallel transformative force on the market economy and on the state and the administration’s relationship with citizens. Their application has the potential to usher in a new paradigm where alternative ways to conduct businesses and even to perform administrative tasks may emerge.

The deployment of such technology in the private and the public sector signals that the time has come for their regulation. The current EU legal framework and proposed legislation for regulating AI is a bold effort to protect human rights and to create a common framework for the market players.

What are the key regulations proposed by the EU? What is the ongoing regulatory initiates in the US?

So join us next June 22, at 6:00pm (Madrid time) to discuss the proposed legal framework, the regulatory challenges and its prospects. The session will be lead by IE Professor Antonios Kouroutakis, expert in the field and professor in the Intellectual Property & Technology Law specialization of the Master of Laws.
