About the Master Class:

How to Build a Learning Organization By Professor Dr. Nick Van Dam

We are living through the digital age. Organizations around the world are experiencing sweeping, rapid changes, fueled by advancements in technologies. Successful companies are early adopters of these new technologies, which are disrupting the workplace. According to the McKinsey Global Institute, between 400 million and 800 million individuals globally could be displaced by automation and need to find new jobs by 2030. Because of this, the need for employees to upskill and retrain themselves will likely be the biggest challenge of the coming decade. The World Economic Forum predicts that the human share of labor hours will drop from 71% to 48% by 2025. It is estimated that by 2020, more than a third of the desired core occupational skillsets will be comprised of skills that are not yet deemed crucial for the job today. During this session, Dr. Nick van Dam will discuss what organizations need to do to develop a workforce for the future and become truly learning organizations. All of this starts with 'learning readiness' of individuals who embrace a lifelong learning mindset.
