European EdTech Network is the first network of this kind, bringing together researchers, innovators, experts, professors, and start-ups, fostering evidence-based, quality EdTech entrepreneurship in Europe and beyond.

About the event

Since our launch event in 2016, we managed to build an incredible network of like-minded innovators, researchers, and EdTech practitioners, whose mission is to support the European EdTech scene.

On Thursday, June 17th, the European EdTech Network with its Partners and Members, will have the pleasure to invite you to their Global Webinar and Virtual EXPO. We will be talking about the European EdTech market, EdTech entrepreneurship in Europe and the role of universities and researchers institutes in supporting quality innovation in the field of education. After that, we will invite you to experience the results of our work and meet our Member organizations during the Virtual EXPO.

PARTNERS:

[SPAIN] IE University - IE University has a personalized, student-centric community with a rich diversity of individuals, ideas, and approaches. Being proud of their entrepreneurial DNA, always at the forefront of innovative education and the newest technological solutions, designing top learning programs and experiences for over 130 nationalities, each year.

[FINLAND] Oulu University of Applied Sciences - strong and multidisciplinary University of Applied Sciences, where they educate competent and innovative professionals and do active research and development. In co‑operation with other partner institutions, they create new vitality to the northern region.

[BELGIUM] Katolieke University of Leuven - a research-intensive, internationally oriented university that carries out both fundamental and applied research.  It is strongly inter-and multidisciplinary in focus and strives for international excellence.

[UNITED KINGDOM] University College London - UCL is London's leading multidisciplinary university, with more than 13,000 staff and 38,000 students from 150 different countries. UCL was the first university in England to welcome students of any religion and the first to welcome women on equal terms with men.

  • Alison Clark-Wilson (UCL Institute of Education) and Maria Spies (Holon IQ) – European EdTech market overview
  • Blair Stevenson and Johanna Pihlajamaa (Oulu University of Applied Sciences) – EdTech entrepreneurship in Europe
  • Wim Van Petegem (KU Leuven) - the role of academia in supporting innovative education
  • Lucía Figar and Milena Janowska (IE University) – results of the three‑year strategic partnership and collaboration and next steps for the European EdTech Network

For the second part of the event, participants will be invited to join our Virtual EXPO with 14 Member institutions from Germany, France, Ireland, Malta, Sweden, Israel, and  Switzerland, actively participating in the European EdTech Network. This part of the event will focus on networking and there will be plenty of opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals, students, and entrepreneurs.
